LiuGong has confirmed plans to launch 10 new electric construction machines for Europe by 2026, including its first electric skid steer loaders, reach stackers and forklifts, as part of a broader roadmap to cover 85% of total industry volume by 2030.

The update was shared at the company’s Zero Boundaries: LiuGong BEV Experience event in Portsmouth, which gathered dealers, customers and stakeholders for a preview of its latest battery electric equipment and UK strategy.

Speaking at the event, LiuGong’s European Product Director Harry Mellor said the 2026 BEV plan will also include expanded lines of excavators and wheel loaders—such as the 95-tonne 995FE and 35-tonne 8110TE.

Mellor also reported that LiuGong now has over 10,500 electric machines in operation globally, with one unit surpassing 20,000 working hours in the field.

The company said future product rollouts would be supported by integrated battery, charging, and jobsite energy solutions, combining AI and IoT technologies to improve connectivity and uptime.

On the UK side, LiuGong signed a new dealer agreement with Dragon Plant Sales (Wales) and confirmed a recent partnership with Lloyd Ltd, expanding its coverage into North West England and Scotland.

Holcim UK is also progressing toward a 20-unit electric loader order for 2025, following successful trials of LiuGong’s 870HE model at its Callow quarry. Final approval is pending from Holcim’s global HQ.

Additionally, the company reiterated its long-term commitment to the UK as a key market, with plans to expand dealer coverage and regional service capabilities.

Howard Dale, President of LiuGong Europe, said, “We’re building a strong and sustainable future, across Europe and right here in the UK. Our direction is clear. We are on a mission to empower people with intelligent, electric machinery and become a world-leading equipment and technology provider.”
