Flexibility of application is an attribute of Hirschmann Automation and Control's new gSENS WGB angle encoder. It can be used as a tilt sensor or angle encoder and sends either a current or ratiometric (comparison of two variables) output. The German company says the device interfaces with three different communication protocols, including CANbus and Ethernetet.
