As we reported in our last issue, Haulotte Group has introduced its first telehandlers, the HTL 4017 and HTL 4014. The 4 t capacity and 14 m or 17 m reach models have been developed specifically with rental in mind. “Most of our rental clients in access rental are going into telehandlers…There has been strong and clear client pressure to have this range”, said Haulotte's chief operating officer, Alexandre Saubot. He said the handlers had been designed to be simple and safe to use for operators who are not experienced handler users. Haulotte plans to launch other telehandlers, including rotating models, and Mr Saubot said the long term aim was to have sales volumes of at least 3000 units, although sales in the first year will be under 1000.
