IPS expands European operations with KK Materiel

IPS has appointed KK Materiel AS as its official 'parts partner' for Denmark. The partnership officially commences under the IPS Danmark name on 1 September 2013.

Founded by owner Karsten Haahr in 2004, KK Materiel is a lifting equipment distributor for brands including Snorkel, Instant UpRight and Sumner. It has a 500 square metre workshop at its headquarters in Vejle and a team of mobile engineers working across Denmark.

Mr Haahr said, “From September, we will be able to provide all owners of aerial lifts in Denmark with fast access to a huge range of affordable parts, for all major brands – all with a single call to a Danish number.”

KK Materiel will hold its own stock of the most popular parts at Vejle, while special order items can be delivered directly within days of order placement.

Richard Tindale, sales and marketing director for IAPS Group, which owns replacement parts specialist IPS, said, “KK Materiel is an extremely well respected company within the Danish access industry with a great reputation for service and a customer base ranging from major rental companies through to smaller end users. They are the ideal partner for IPS, sharing our ethos of ‘making it easy’ for customers and a high level of specialist technical knowledge and support.”

IPS Danmark is the latest in the company’s planned expansion of international distributors to complement its long-established direct sales operations in the UK and France.
