A Turbo F9 Revolution under assembly at Comabi's plant in Trévoux, France.

When launched three years ago, Comabi's electric–powered, vertical mast Turbo F7, “… was an addition to our range of mobile towers. It is a cheap solution, not part of a strategy to develop our range. It is a rental company niche product,” says Dominique Pagniez, Comabi's sales and marketing director. He told SI that the line contributes about 2% of turnover, which means less than €1 million in sales.

“In the group we produce many solutions for access”, points out Mr Pagniez, “It is important for us to provide all solutions for lifting people from the ground. We are in it [powered access] only to be able to serve current customers with a full line. We could not say we'd never have a powered product.”

Expanded last September with the rotating and extending platform F9 Revolution, the three–model line offers maximum working heights of 7 and 8.5 m, maximum outreach to just over 3 m, and maximum payload of 120 to 200 kg. Prices range from about €16000 to €24400.
