South African rental company Johnson Access and Independent Parts & Service (IPS) have formed a 50/50 joint venture to distribute access parts in Southern Africa.

The joint venture will distribute parts for a wide range of access brands from a Johnson Access depot in Johannesburg. "The company has already been registered", Johnson Access managing director George Landsberg told Access International at APEX, "I would think we'll have parts in six weeks. By January we will be up and running."

"The OEMs are very expensive with their parts", said Mr Landsberg, "I've already been dealing with IPS for a while. This is just taking it to a different level: not just buying, also selling."
