Italy-based company Marzocchini has invested in two new telescopic platforms and a crawler model, as part of a fleet expansion.

The company, which was founded in 1986 in Bologna and has a construction rental fleet comprising lifting, earth moving, transport equipment and a total of 18 truck mounted units from Multitel Pagliero, recently added Multitel’s SMX250 crawler, a second MTE270 EX telescopic platform, and an MXE 200 articulated platform to its fleet.

A key purchase for Marzocchini was its new SMX250 crawler. Detailed in the company’s petrol green and purple branding, the machine offers a working height of 25 metres and is equipped with a winch with a maximum capacity of 250kg.

The zero-emission, low-noise machine features a horizontal outreach 11.6m and has a basket capacity of 80kg and 250kg, at an outreach of 7.9m, with a turret rotation of 360-degrees and a self-levelling basket with 90+ degrees of rotation, which enables it to get around obstacles on site.

“Its compact dimensions and weight of only 2,600kg make it easy to transport on a trailer and to access tight places,” said Multitel, adding that the crawer’s “dual power supply with a combustion engine/electric motor or purely electric with lithium batteries allows it to be used inside buildings as well as in green areas, historical town centres and limited traffic zones”.

Marzocchini’s SMX250 is also fitted with EVE, Multitel Pagliero’s electronic management system.
