A-Plant adds to access fleet with Skyjack
14 September 2015
Leading UK rental company A-Plant has continued its capital expenditure programme by purchasing 112 powered access machines from Skyjack in a deal worth almost £3 million (€4.2 million).
The latest fleet investment takes the Ashtead Group company’s spending on access equipment this year to £14 million (€19.6 million).
It covers a range of diesel-powered rough terrain scissor lifts in 26 ft, 32 ft, 40 ft, 43 ft and 50 ft models. All 112 have been delivered to A-Plant Powered Access Service Centres across the UK and placed straight into the fleet.
“We chose Skyjack machines because they are exceptionally well-proven in terms of quality, reliability and robustness,” said regional managing director Paul Dennis.
“Over the years, they’ve proven to be an excellent investment and it goes without saying that these latest machines will serve our customers well, especially on large construction sites.”
The new Skyjack scissor lifts are designed to operate on any job site terrain and offer features such as increased platform space and improved reach capabilities.
The order includes the SJ 9241 diesel scissor lift, which is highly specified with innovative features such as twin powered decks.
