Geda's new 200 kg 200 Z is a lightweight ‘universal hoist’ for scaffolders and contractors. The 1.1 m long, 0,8 m wide cage weighs just 44 kg and requires an area of just 1.5 m by 1.5 m square at the base, with the cage positioned parallel to the building. When it reaches the landing levels it can rotate 90 degrees in either direction for unloading. The mast requires anchors at 4 m intervals and the hoist can be fixed to a scaffold using only one scaffold tube.
