Cat says the machines are designed to have the lowest owning and operating costs in the industry, with extended service intervals and a reduction in the number of filters and service parts needed. Routine daily maintenance is reduced to checking fluid levels and walk–around inspection, said the company. Engine oil, filter changes and routine lubrication are only needed every 500 hours.
