Over 115 companies will exhibit at the sixth APEX show, being held in Maastricht, The Netherlands, on 17-19 September.

The sixth APEX aerial platform exhibition opens in two weeks time in Maastricht, The Netherlands - taking place on Wednesday 17th to Friday 19th September - and will be the largest show APEX ever, with over 115 companies exhibiting.

As well as giving visitors a chance to see virtually all of the world's access equipment suppliers under one roof, the show will have some particular highlights, including the first ever appearance at a major Western show of a Chinese aerial platform manufacturer - Beijing Jingcheng Heavy Industry, showing a 32 m telescopic boom and 12 m electric scissor lift.

APEX will also represent the first major exhibition appearances for Haulotte Group and Palfinger since their recent major acquisitions: Haulotte buying US-manufacturer Bil-Jax and Palfinger adding WUMAG. Both Bil-Jax and WUMAG machines will be on show.

IPAF, which officially supports the event, meanwhile uses the show to launch several initiatives designed to attract more young people into the industry (see separate story in this newsletter).

Another addition to this year's event is a greater number of telehandler manufacturers. Italy's Faresin and JCB are among those showing telehandlers, alongside other manufacturers including JLG, Genie, Haulotte and Manitou.

There will be dozens of new products at the show, including never seen before models from Skyjack and UpRight Powered Access. This newsletter provides some advance information.

In addition, on the first morning of the show there is the free APEX conference, starting at 9.30am with the Keynote Address from Skyjack president Ken McDougall, who will be talking about the role of manufacturers in the modern access industry. More details, including the full conference programme, are given in a separate story within this APEX newsletter. The conference room is at the entrance to the exhibition hall.
