Arne Severin leaves Zeppelin Rental

Arne Severin, the CEO of Zeppelin Rental, has left the company after more than 20 years. He also steps down from his board role at the European Rental Association (ERA).

Severin joined Zeppelin in April 2004 and held several senior roles at Zeppelin Baumaschinen, the Caterpillar dealership, before joining Zeppelin Rental as managing director and CEO in July 2017.

He has been a vice president of the European Rental Association (ERA) since June 2022 and a member of the ERA board.

ERA said his place on the board had now been taken by Kari Aulasmaa, the CEO of Finland-based Renta Group.

Carole Bachmann, secretary general of ERA, said; “I warmly thank Arne for his outstanding contribution and dedication to the ERA Board over the past four years, and for the human and approachable manner in which he has consistently supported the association, notably stepping in to replace our Chair at the Lisbon Convention.”

Bachmann also welcomed Aulasmaa to the ERA; “I am delighted Kari has joined the ERA Board and look forward to benefiting from his expertise and strong commitment to the rental industry. At the same time, we will value the addition of Nordic culture in rental to our board discussions.”

In a LinkedIn post, Severin wrote; “At Zeppelin, I learned the power of a company whose employees see themselves as a Zeppelin community. And how to achieve lasting corporate success with radical customer orientation. And so much more.

“I am grateful for that. Dear ex-colleagues, dear customers and partners: it was a great pleasure for me. I now take with me the memory of many shared experiences and successes as well as numerous enriching personal relationships.

“I wish Zeppelin and all employees in the Zeppelin team all the best from the bottom of my heart. Continue to be a great team!”
