AVL invests Haulotte electric boom

AVL Arbeitsbühnenvermietung has added Haulotte’s recently launched Sigma 16 Pro articulating boom to its rental equipment fleet.

The specialist access equipment provider, which is based in Ludwigsfelde near Berlin in Germany, is a partner of AVS System Lift and is a the first of the group’s 135 associated branches to have the fully electric model

The Sigma 16 Pro has a working height of 15.7m, an over reach of 8.05m and offers an up and over clearance of 7.4m.

It is powered by eight 6V batteries and includes Haulotte’s Activ’Energy Management feature, which comprises a smart charger with water refilling functionalities to optimises the performance and lifespan of the batteries.

According to Haulotte, Activ’Energy significantly reduces the maintenance and replacement costs associated with battery powered equipment.

Suitable for use “both indoors and outdoors on any type of stabilized surface”, AVL’s new Sigma 16 Pro is fitted with a 2-person platform and has a maximum load capacity of up 230kg. 

David Ertl, sales manager at Haulotte Germany, said, “AVL has been convinced by the versatility and productivity of the machine, which integrates a horizontally rotating jib to access working areas that were previously inaccessible.

“I am sure our new SIGMA 16 PRO will captivate them and they will want to add more to their fleet.”
