BG Lift gets crane distribution in the US

CMC North America, distributor of CMC tracked aerial lifts, has been appointed exclusive distributor of BG Lift compact crawler cranes in the US. Inventory and demonstration units are expected in the US in the third quarter.

Italy-based BG Lift produces compact crawler cranes with lifting capacities from 600 kg (1,322 lbs) to 40,000 kg (88,185 lbs), available in diesel and lithium-ion electric versions. The lifts are used in sectors including construction, industrial, utilities, glazing and tree care.

It will be the first time BG’s products will be “formally distributed in the US through a dedicated national distributor”, said CMC NA. The BG Lift brand was created in 2014 by parent company Brennero Gru, based in Verona, Italy.

CMC North America will provide sales, marketing, technical support, operator training, service, warranty administration, and replacement parts throughout the US.

Growing demand for compact cranes

Jeff Poggi, CEO of CMC North America, said he was delighted with the agreement; “We see a growing market in the USA driven by demand from glazing, industrial, and general construction contractors; equipment rental fleets; and arbor care.

“The addition of BG Lift complements our CMC tracked aerial lift portfolio and allows us to offer customers a broader range of compact lifting solutions from a single trusted partner.”

It is CMC North America’s strategy to focus on compact access and lifting products. Its customers now have access to CMC tracked aerial lifts and BG Lift compact crawler cranes.
