Brightcast's sales manager John Young takes delivery of new Skyjack fleet, including the UK's first

Brightcast's sales manager John Young takes delivery of new Skyjack fleet, including the UK's first SJ51AJ artculated boom.

UK rental company, BrightCast Group Services is adding a number of Skyjack aerial work platforms to its fleet, including the first SJ51AJ booms in the UK. "We will be adding between 10 and 15 platforms," said sales manager, John Young, which boosts the company's total fleet to over 80 units.

Already delivered are two SJ51AJ articulating booms, which were launched at Intermat in April. The 15.5 m platform height SJ51AJ booms are equipped with generators as are the two 15.2 m SJ9250 scissors. Two SJ8841 (12.5 m) and two 9.7 m platform height SJ6832RT (rough terrain) scissors have also been delivered. All the models are diesel and, Mr Young says that most of the machines are already out on hire.

Mr Young said "We are buying a wide range of machines from 12 m working height scissors to the big 66ft booms.

"We opted for the Skyjack range on this particular occasion because of their versatility and product quality across their range - which we know are well established across the industry."

Serving the South East, London and counties around London, Mr Young said that much of the company's work is in steel fixings. "We are an independent company," he said "and our fleet is busy, very busy."

A spokesperson for Skyjack said "BrightCast have successfully identified and developed their core market and built their fleet around this. We are extremely pleased to be part of their success story".
