Horizon now has 19,000 MEWPs outside of China

China-based Horizon Construction Development (CDHorizon) now has 19,000 aerial platforms and other equipment operating outside of China and Hong Kong and saw a 55% increase in revenues from its international business in the first six months of the year.

International sales represented 23% of total revenues in the first half of the year, up from 13.7% in the same period in 2025.

The company, which is one of the five largest MEWP rental owners in the world with a fleet of 202,000 MEWPs, has been expanding internationally in response to a difficult domestic market.

Its domestic sales were 17.4% down year-on-year for the first half of the year to RMB3100 million (€398 million), while international business rose by 55% to RMB924 million (€119 million).

The company has 77 rental outlets in 10 countries outside of China, Hong Kong and Macau. These are in Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Turkey, as well as pilot rental operations in Morocco, Tanzania and Kazakhstan established during the first half of the year.

CDHorizon’s MEWP fleet of 202,000 includes around 44,000 machines managed for other owners under its asset management service.

It said its MEWPs had a utilization rate of 65.8% in the first half year.
