China's Dingli Co Invests In Access

15 April 2008

The new factory will produce mainly indoor access equipment and will open in April this year. Another facility in the same location is planned for a range of outdoor access products. This second facility is hoped to be completed before the end of 2007.

Dingli (formerly known as Hangzhou Dingli Machinery) was founded five years ago by chief executive officer Mr Xu Shu Gen and started by manufacturing industrial forklifts, stackers and pallet trucks.

Two years ago it began making aerial platforms and now produces a range of electric scissor lifts, truck mounted scissors and vertical mast push–around products.

The company has previously exhibited at exhibitions in Europe – including CeMAT in Hannover – and said it had already exported products, mainly its industrial equipment, worldwide.

Dingli is just one of several big aerial platform manufacturers in China. Other players in the market include Hangzhou Sivge Aerial Work Machinery, which make vertical mast platforms, and truck mounted access specialist XCMG (Xuzhou Truck–Mounted Crane Co Ltd).
