Corbyn Plant Hire said it had appointed Euro Auctions to manage the sale of its complete portfolio of assets following news that Corbyn Construction entered into administration in May 2025.

Corbyn Plant Hire, which is not in administration, said that it would be selling its entire fleet of ‘fully owned’ machines and equipment which includes excavators, dumpers, tower cranes, concrete lorries, tippers, low-loaders, and specialist delivery vehicles.

Of particular note is the company’s comprehensive stock of formwork systems from manufacturers including PERI, SGB, and K-GUARD, along with a full suite of concrete placing equipment.

“Construction remains the sector with the highest rate of insolvency in the UK, and unfortunately Corbyn Construction has now joined the growing list of casualties,” said David Betts of Euro Auctions. “Whilst Corbyn Plant Hire is not in administration, the company is taking proactive steps to realise the value of its assets.”

Betts added that the formwork systems up for sale were “possibly the most extensive we’ve ever offered in a single sale”

The online timed auction will take place on 9 July 2025, with viewing of assets available on 8th July 2025 at: Mohawk Wharf, 12 Bradfield Road, Silvertown, London Docklands.
