CTE has launched the Zeta 22, a 3.5 tonne GVW truck mount designed to use the working envelope more efficiently.

First unveiled at Bauma, in October this year, the new double pantograph articulated model borrows its name from the manufacturer’s Z model of the 1990s.

The boom has an articulated and double extension configuration to exploit the entire working area and achieve maximum height and outreach. Features also include a 22m working height, 10.5m outreach and 250kg capacity.

The platform is designed to offer maximum clearance with the boom attached to the side of the basket, meaning there are no protrusions underneath it. According to CTE, this makes the machine ideal for maintenance activities, particularly for tree care and other related work, as the risk of entanglement or damage due to accidental impacts is reduced.

The ZETA 22 is also equipped with the manufacturer’s S3 EVO system platform management system, through which the operator can control the performance of the platform in real time. This technology combines with CTE Connect to optimise fleet management, remote monitoring, settings and remote interventions.

Stabilisers have a fixed narrow jacking configuration to enhance the compactness of the model and allow access and stabilisation in confined spaces.

Automatic stabilization functions and the Home function are also available. And, on request, a wired radio control is available with a 7m cable that replicates the commands of the ground and nacelle controls. The length of the cable allows the operator on the ground complete visibility of the entire work area.

The unit, exhibited at Bauma, is mounted on an Iveco truck and in the future will also be available on an Isuzu.
