Shandong Electric Power Equipment, based in China, has ordered five new R180 spider lifts from Italian manufacturer Easy Lift.

The company, which was established in the 1950s, manufactures and distributes transformers from its three plants in the north east of the country.

According to Easy Lift, Shandong chose the R180 model both for its reach and compact size.

The tracked platform model has a working height of 18m and a 9m outreach.

Suitable for indoor and outdoor tasks, Shandong’s new machines are powered by Honda petrol engines and are equipped with 200kg capacity baskets.

Easy Lift said the models are due to be delivered to the company later this month.
