Easylift spiders are easy to own

Italian manufacturer, Easylift had two new spiders on show at SAIE the 30m working height R300 and the R160 a15.8 m working height machine. According to the designer, Luigi Nocera, Easylift machines are produced to offer a low cost of ownership: that is with no complex electronics and spares easy to find, the machines are simple to maintain and repair.

Malcolm Kitt of UK agent Power Lift agreed, "We started importing the machines in December of last year, and we are very happy with the open attitude of the manufacturers. We liked the high quality fabrication of the machines," he said, "and the way that any problems we have are dealt with immediately."

The R300 was shown as a prototype around four months ago and is now in production. It offers a 14.5 m outreach, 360⁰ turret rotation and a 2 m by 0.7 m basket with maximum capacity of 200 kg. The machine has 30% gradeability and, when folded down, is 6.7 m long, 1.4 m wide and 2 m high; it weighs 5.8 kg.

The R160 has a long outreach of over 7 m for its footprint which, said Mr Kitt, "makes it ideal for tree surgery work: also the low pressure on the tracks and outriggers makes it suitable for use indoors in environments such as shopping centres."
