Higher Access has ordered its first Italian manufactured Bluelift from UK dealer Bravi UK.

UK rental company, Higher Access is based in Manchester and specialises in hiring spider lifts. The company has just expanded its fleet with two new Teupen Leo25T 25 m tracked access platforms and, in October, is expecting a Bluelift C22 22 m spider lift .

The Teupens, which the company imported themselves from Europe, fill a specific gap in its hire fleet: operations director Peter Ashburner said, " We have always had a requirement for a machine between 20 and 25 m, which was light and quick with good ground clearance and wide tracks, the biggest issue was that we also needed to have the outreach of a typical 30 m spider of around 15.5 m, the Leo25T is the only machine that offers such a rounded package enabling us to fulfil a number of new contracts that we have been awarded in forestry, telecoms and power line work.

"As with all of our new equipment we specified non marking tracks couple this with minimal ground pressures and a 240V power supply as standard the machine is also an extremely competent and versatile platform for indoor use."

The Bluelift C22 was ordered after much deliberation: the company says it opted for Bluelift over for a number of reasons.

"The new C22 provides the perfect package and after many sessions with Andrew Fishburn from Bravi and a very attentive and responsive factory team we decided to purchase, following several modifications they demonstrated a machine that we felt would prove to be extremely popular with hirers.

"A number of key elements convinced us to purchase our first machine with a potential to roll out more over the early part of next year, the key points were the movable tracks a great unrestricted working envelope with 200 kg in the basket and an intuitive control system with memory function, the machine also benefits from an exceptional emergency lowering system never before seen in this class of machine.

"The machine is also extremely compact allowing it to easily be offered as a 19 m or 22 m machine, when you combine the attributes of the machine with the solid build quality and this spider was exceptional value for money, we look forward to moving forward with Bravi over the coming year."
