IAPA shortlist announced

17 January 2022

The shortlist for the 2022 International Awards for Powered Access (IAPAs) can be revealed, following the judges’ meeting held at the end of last week

IAPA and IPAF Summit 2022

As previously reported, there has been an outstanding response from the industry to the IAPA awards, with more than 160 entries received, representing a record for the event. This does not include the Access Photograph of the Year Award, which is still open for entries. There is a cash prize for the photo award, so if you have taken a fantastic shot of access equipment in action, be sure to send it in by the 31 January deadline.

The winners will be announced at the IAPA awards ceremony and networking event on 10 March in London, UK, following the IPAF Summit, which will take place during the day. Book now for both at the IAPA and IPAF Summit website.

Top-level entries

Euan Youdale, editor of Access International and NON-VOTING chair of the judging panel said, “There has been a fantastic response to the 2022 IAPAs. On behalf of the organisers IPAF and KHL Group, I would like to thank all those who have taken the time to enter.

IAPA judges 2022

“We received a large number of top-level submissions across the award categories, not least for the new Sustainability Award, meaning the five IAPA judges had a huge amount of high-quality information to take into consideration. Thanks again to them for their hard work in going through all the entries.

Youdale added, “There is always great interest in the IAPAs, and due to the pandemic and the rescheduled 2020 event, this was the first opportunity for the industry to send in entries for almost two years, leading to a record number for the 2022 edition.

“No matter how difficult, in the end, the judges had to make their decisions. If your entry does not appear in this year’s shortlist, please do not be disheartened and be sure to enter again for the 2023 event.”
