PASMA is preparing to deliver its first ever workshop at the upcoming IOSH Conference’s CoreSkills+ programme.

The mobile access tower industry association will be joining the Access Industry Forum (AIF) to provide industry education alongside the IOSH event, which takes place at Excel London, June 17 to 19, 2014.

PASMA’s workshop will provide the first in-depth look at its new campaign encouraging the use of safe, EN1004 compliant mobile access towers.

PASMA managing director Peter Bennett said, “In previous years the AIF Knowledge Base seminar programme has been a big draw at the Safety & Health Expo. By taking advantage of the CoreSkills+ programme we now aim to provide essential, practical information on key topics currently affecting safety on towers.”

The UK’s Ladder Association will also provide a seminar on the new HSE’s guidance for ladders.
The association’s workshop ‘Working at height: simple and straightforward?’ will see Ladder Association technical manager Don Aers joined by Paul Cook, the HSE’s senior policy adviser responsible for reviewing the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and overhauling the HSE’s work at height guidance.
Both experts on the regulations and the new guidance, they will explain the changes and how they impact upon using ladders in the workplace.
