The Belgian rental company Interrent has just taken delivery of five of twenty ordered Genie machines to support the expansion of the company's business.

The machines: one Z34/22N narrow, electric, articulated boom; two Z40/23 N RJ electric, articulated booms and two Z51/30 J RT diesel, rough terrain, articulated booms are part of an order of twenty machines placed with Genie's Belgian importer, Allift Michielsens. The other machines in the order are a number of electric scissors (GS 1932, GS 2646 and GS 3246), a Z34/22 IC articulated boom and some more Z34/22N articulated booms which offer a 34 ft platform height and 22 ft outreach.

For many years Interrent has been operating from two depots (Bree and Genk) in the province of Limburg. Marc Everts, founder of Interrent together with his son Jan Everts the managing director, announced their intention to open more regional depots in order to give better customer service. The expansion has already begun with the opening of a third branch opened in Lommel - a city between the province of Limburg and Antwerp.

To support this expansion plan the company has invested in new access equipment and new transport equipment - a new truck with deep loader will be delivered shortly. The addition of the truck gives Interrent the capacity to transport its own heavy, rental equipment and to expand its access fleet with higher working height machines and the addition of telehandlers.
