JLG sales stabilise in fourth quarter

JLG’s sales increased marginally in the fourth quarter of its 2025 financial year, compared to a 13% fall across the year due to lower prodcut pricing and higher overall costs.

Fourth quarter sales at JLG increased 1.3%, to $1.17 billion, primarily thanks to higher sales in North America. However, over the full year sales at parent company Oshkosh Corporation’s Access division dropped 13% to $4,494.4 million.

Operating income for the quarter decreased 30.5% to $99.3 million, compared to the fourth quarter of 2024, while across the year income dropped by 37.7% to $502 million.

The company said that in the fourth quarter the decrease was primarily due to higher costs compared to lower sales prices, while backlog also dropped in the Access division, ending the 2025 financial year at $1,275.8 million - 30.4% down compared to the same period in 2024.

Looking ahead, John Pfeifer, president and chief executive officer of Oshkosh, forecasted improved results in its Vocational and Transport segments, supported by a solid backlog but said the company expected continued weakness in non-residential construction affecting JLG. He added, “We believe our People First culture and strategic investments position us to create long-term value for our customers, shareholders and team members.”

Across the Oshkosh Corporation consolidated sales in the fourth quarter of 2025 increased $90.7 million, or 3.5%, to $2.69 billion primarily due to improved pricing in the Vocational segment and higher sales volume in the Access segment. Consolidated operating income in the fourth quarter of 2025 decreased 5.3% to $212.0 million.

“Oshkosh delivered a strong close to 2025 with fourth quarter results that were within our expectations driven by our people and innovative products, capping another year of solid execution across our portfolio,” said Pfeifer.

“We achieved adjusted earnings per share of $2.26 due to robust performance in our Vocational segment, strong sales in our Access segment and an improved margin in our Transport segment.”
