Kiloutou has acquired Spanish equipment rental company Valser. No financial details of the purchase have been disclosed.

Founded in 1983, Valser is a general rental company with 42 employees and a fleet in excess of 1500 units, including earthmoving equipment, lighting towers, generators and pumps.

The deal adds three locations to Kiloutou’s existing Spanish footprint with new branches in Castellón de la Plana, Alicante and Valencia, the latter of which will now serve as its regional hub.

Following the acquisition, Valser employees will join Kiloutou’s Spanish operations, with a rebrand planned for the coming months.

Kiloutou said the purchase is in line with its “dynamic growth strategy, characterised by constant organic growth and the continuous pursuit of external acquisitions.”

Olivier Colleau, executive chairman, Kiloutou Group, said, “It also illustrates our ability to attract high-level regional players with a strong local presence, as part of our growth project. I would like to welcome the members of the Valser team to the Kiloutou Group.”

Cyril Brillouet, managing director, Kiloutou Spain, added, “After two integrations in 2021, the acquisition of Valser confirms Kiloutou’s commitment to the Spanish market and is fully in line with Kiloutou’s development strategy in the country, which aims to deploy our geographical presence in high-potential areas. I would like to welcome the 42 competent and experienced employees of Valser. within the Kiloutou group”.

Carlos Biosca Martin, co-owner of Valser said the company’s “solid knowledge of the Valencian Community market will contribute to the growth of Kiloutou.”

France-based Kiloutou has 22 branches and 250 employees in Spain. The purchase of Valser reflects similar strategies for growth the company has carried out in Poland, Germany, Italy, Denmark and Portugal in recent years.

In 2022 the company hit €1 billion in sales for the first time in its history.
