Klipboard accelerates agentic AI in rental software

Software firm Klipboard – which includes the business formerly known as InspHire – said it is accelerating the rollout of embedded and Agentic AI across its software with the aim of helping users find information quickly, reduce manual work and act on data faster within normal workflows.

It said rather than adding standalone AI tools to its software it was embedding AI directly into the systems to manage customers, orders, inventory, finance, equipment, parts and other areas.

It said multiple AI capabilities were already being offered across its Distribution, Automotive and Rental segments, with further agents and workflows in development.

AI is embedded within its OnRent Go solution, said the UK-based company, giving users greater visibility and faster access to operational information and in a “more natural” way.

Traditional reliance on people

Klipboard said traditional systems have relied on people to navigate software, retrieve information and initiate the next action; “Embedded and Agentic AI allow more of that journey to happen intelligently within the system itself.”

DJ Jones, chief technology and product officer at Klipboard said; “We’re changing what business software can do. AI that simply provides an answer is only the starting point. Our Agentic AI can understand what needs to happen next and help make it happen.

“This is a fundamental change in the role of ERP. The software can increasingly understand what’s happening, recognise what needs to happen next and act.”

The company is based in Hungerford, UK and has subsidiaries or resellers in Australia, Belgium, Canada, Finland, Ireland, Kenya, the Netherlands, Africa, Sweden and US.
