Leguan Lifts for Nordic rental

Norway-based rental company Sørby Utleie has ordered a number of lifts from spider specialist Leguan Lifts.

As a major player in the Nordic rental market Sørby Utleie’s latest order adds to its 700-unit fleet, meaning it now has six Leguan units across the 135 Neo, 195 and 225 models.

Martin Authen, General Manager at Sørby Utleie, explained, “We needed to update our range of specialized lifts, and when it came to all-terrain tracked lifts, we chose Leguan. They are easy to use, environmentally friendly, and have a consistent user interface, and serviceability across all models — something that’s very valuable for us as a rental company.”

Authen added, “It’s important to us that the lifts can be transported on a trailer and that they are intuitive to operate — regardless of size. This also makes things easier for our mechanics, who can easily assist customers when needed.”

According to Leguan the lifts have a uniform design so that operators require less training and can transition seamlessly between models, as well as reducing service demands. There is also consistency in control layout, functionality, and maintenance procedures across models.

One of Sørby Utleie’s customers using Leguan lifts is Elektrotjenesten AS, on a project involving the upgrade of a lit trail in Askim.

Joacim Taraldrud Tangnes, from Elektrotjenesten AS, said, “What I like best is the auto-levelling function, which means you don’t have to spend time adjusting the lift before starting work. It also has a home button that makes it easy to return to the starting position.”

Operational Benefits for Both Customer and Supplier Thanks to their light weight and user-friendly design, the lifts are easy to transport — either by the customer or the rental company.
