Lincoln, UK-based plant hire firm Lindum Plant has purchased two new hybrid platforms from UK manufacturer Niftylift. The firm took deliver of a Height Rider 17 (HR17) and Height Rider 21 (HR21) hybrid platforms at the end of November.

The new platforms are equipped with the SiOPS operator protection system. The hybrid power source uses an efficient Tier 4i/Stage IIIB compliant 15 kW engine coupled with an electric motor, which offers a 40-50% fuel saving.

“These machines will form the basis for a whole new range of environmentally conscious access platforms from Niftylift. The HR21, HR17 and the new HR15 Hybrids can work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week due to their unique battery re-generation system,” said Tim Ward, sales manager for Niftylift.
