Loxam makes further acquisition Brazil

Loxam has agreed to acquire Brazillian temporary power generation specialist A Geradora Aluguel De Máquinas (A Geradora). The purchase price was not disclosed.

Founded in 1989, A Geradora offers a range of back-up and off-grid power from 15 branches in Brazil. The company employs 650 people. 

It is the second acquisition in Brazil that Loxam has completed in recent months. In May it acquired Motormac Rental, a specialist in access, power generation and lighting towers.

Including these acquisitions, the Loxam Degraus business in Brazil will now generate annual revenues of approximately €85 million.

The purchase is set to be finalised in the coming weeks. A Geradora’s CEO Enilson Moreira De Lima is set to remain in his position on an interim basis.
