Man dies after falling 60 feet from scaffolding

A 29-year-old man fell six stories to his death March 23 while erecting scaffolding at a Bay County, FL incinerator. According to reports, the scaffolding was being set up for repair work at the Bay Country Waste to Energy Facility incinerator. It is not known what caused the man to fall.

Micah Shane Duke fell more than 60 feet while erecting scaffolding in the incinerator's boiler room. Duke was an employee of World Scaffolding Company, a Mississippi firm.

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating.
