Manitou CEO to step down

Michel Denis, the President and CEO of Manitou Group, will step down in June next year following the end of his third term in the position.

In the meantime, a recruitment process has been launched by the Board of Directors to appoint a successor. This follows the news last week that former Skyjack president Brad Boehler would take on the new role of President in North America for the company and a further annoucement this week that the management team is being retructured across the group.

Jacqueline Himsworth, Chairman of the Board of Directors, said, “I sincerely thank Michel Denis for the immense work accomplished over his three terms. Since 2014, under his leadership, the group has seen its revenue grow significantly from €1.2 billion in 2013 to €2.7 billion in 2024, restored and then improved its financial profitability, accelerated its sustainability initiatives, invested heavily in its production sites, and paid a regular dividend.”

Himsworth went on to say, that the group had successfully navigated crises with resilience while preserving its independence and financial strength, as well as its number one position in the telehandler sector.

“Manitou Group is now a key player in the world of the handling and aerial work platform sectors. Michel Denis has fulfilled his mission with passion while preserving the group’s DNA.”

Together with the new Executive Committee, announced this week, he will continue to support the implementation of the company’s new LIFT 2030 organization until the end of his term, before handing over to the future CEO, whose name will be announced at a later date.

Denis added, “I warmly thank the group’s 6,000 employees whose expertise, commitment, and passion have enabled our development over the past twelve years, as well as the Board of Directors for its trust and support.

“I applaud the loyalty and dynamism of our network of 800 dealers worldwide and our key account customers. It is thanks to this collective effort that we have been able to strengthen our leadership. With the foundations laid by the LIFT 2030 strategy, the group is now ready to look forward to a sustainable and profitable
