Equipment rental company Mateco has expanded its presence in Germany with the acquisition of aerial platform specialist H&M Arbeitsbühnenvermietung.

The deal for H&M, which includes all its equipment assets and its branches in Husum, Rendsburg and Flensburg, was completed earlier this week for an undisclosed amount. H&M’s existing staff retain their positions.

Mateco said the purchase will increase the density of its network in the far north of the country, where it already operates locations in Hamburg and Lübeck/Stockelsdorf.

The company said, “Local proximity is one of the central customer promises for the nationwide landlord mateco, which is pursued through the constant expansion of the branch network.”
