Mateco raises €250,000 for children’s fund in 50th year

Mateco is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year with a generous fundraising campaign for a children’s cause.

Between August and October 2023, mateco carried out the large-scale campaign in which €3 for each rental went directly to the non-profit Herzens Wunsche, which grants long awaited wishes to seriously ill children.

Mateco - Herzens Wunsch mateco managing director Alexander Bradfi hands the donation to the Herzens Wunsch association.

A significant four-digit amount was also collected through voluntary donations from employees, which was ultimately increased by mateco to a final figure of €250,000.

“In line with our values and as a thank you for 50 years of mateco, we are placing a great focus on social commitment, especially now in our anniversary year,” says mateco Managing Director Alexander Bradfisch. “As a medium-sized company that has grown significantly in recent years and decades, it is particularly important to us to give something back to society.”

The handover of the donation took place between Bradfisch and Beatrix Villing, a volunteer at Herzens Wunsch, at the company headquarters in Leonberg.

Bradfisch said, “With our donation we are supporting where our help is urgently needed. I am convinced that our contribution will make many children’s dreams come true and will give new strength to those affected and their families. What is a heartfelt wish for the children is a matter of the heart for us as a company.”

In addition to this one-off fundraising campaign, the so called Tappi social work platform is in use at mateco all year round and nationwide, which supports facilities in need of modernisation and a lack of financial resources with access to heights.
