Multitel Christmas lift in Warsaw

Poland-based Smielak has used a Multitel MJ 375 truck mount to install a large Christmas tree, along with decorations, at one of Warsaw’s shopping centres.

The centre is located within the historic wall of a former combined heat and power plant, now transformed into a modern commercial and service hub.

The site’s complex architecture and confined spaces required a machine capable of combining compact transport dimensions with excellent stability and operational precision.

The MTE 230 used its weight-to-performance ratio, provided by a 3.5 tonne GVW, up to 300kg basket capacity and 16 m of outreach, making it particularly suitable when working in tight urban spaces.

One of its features, the 180° + 180° basket rotation allowed the installation team to work efficiently on opposite sides of architectural elements of the structure such as chimneys.

Founded as an independent company in 1998, but with roots in the lifting and access equipment sector dating back to 1978, Śmielak is today a family-run business led by Krzysztof Śmielak together with his sons Konrad and Kacper.

In total it has purchased six new machines in the 3.5 tonne category from Multitel, including the MJ 375 currently in operation, and has 20 used Multitel units from 16m-35m.

Since 2014, Smielak has been working with Windex, the Multitel dealer for Poland, represented by Andrzej Aszyk, which has provided support for a range of projects sometimes hundreds of kilometres from the company’s base.

Through this partnership, the company has purchased several new machines, including the Multitel MJ 375. 

According to Multitel, Smielak has approached Windex to evaluate a potential investment in the manufacturer’s lates launch, the 71m working height Multitel MJE 710, first seen at bauta earlier this year.
