• The Electroelsa Group had added two high-capacity transport platforms to its range of mast climber platforms and hoists. The new machines are the 1500 kg capacity EHPM2500/15 (pictured right) and the 1000 kg EHPM2500/10. Both have hoisting speeds of 12 m/min. The large capacity unit has a 2.5 m wide, 1.4 m deep cage; the smaller capacity unit features a bigger 3.28 m wide by 1.8 m deep cage.

• GRC Work Platform in Italy is adding 600 kg and 1000 kg passenger/materials hoists to the two mast climbing platform models it already builds. The hoists will use the same mast sections as the company's F26B/M and F30B/M mast climbers (see left). Bruno Gorini, GRC's sales manager, says the four-year old company has previously focused on the Italian market, but is now selling machines in Spain as well.

• Maber's largest passenger/materials hoist, the 1400 kg capacity MBA 1400/150-R, now has a maximum travel speed of 45 m/min and is fitted with a variable speed drive. The previous model without variable speed - which is still available - has a top speed on 30 m/min. The hoist control system on the variable drive version also now operates like a conventional building lift, with the capability to have pre-programmed lift stops and without the need for an full-time operator.

• Pictured is one of the two light-duty mast climbing platform models built by Italian newcomer Salerno Ponteggi. The company, established over a year ago, also makes transport platforms.
