The CISRS (Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme) has launched a new site poster and online video to help construction site personnel identify qualified scaffolders and understand the levels of their various skillsets. It is hoped the new tools will help reduce the likelihood of error and accidents on site.

Trained and qualified scaffolders carry a card from the UK organisation that details their skills and training. There are currently eight cards in the CISRS system to identify scaffold workers, ranging from trainees and labourers to advanced scaffolders and scaffold inspectors.

The new A2 site poster has been designed to clearly explain the scope of work that any individual holding a CISRS card can carry out. Designed to be an ideal memory aid to any site the poster provides a simple to follow explanation ensuring that any individual's card can be verified prior to any scaffolding works commencing.

To explain in more detail the criteria for each CISRS card, a short but detailed online video presentation has also been made available on the CISRS website www.cisrs.org.uk. The 15-minute film details the course criteria and the scope of each CISRS qualification. A free online test is also available to take after viewing the video to ensure that the user has fully understood the content.
