No Falls Week addresses key safety issue

No Falls Week is taking place 13 – 17 May (this week) to raise awareness of safe working practices at height across all sectors.

No Falls Week

Launched by the No Falls Foundation, the event highlights the fact that falls from height continue to be a leading cause of workplace fatalities. The latest statistics from the UK’s Health and Safety Executive (HSE) show that 40 lives were lost during 2022-2023 due to falls from height, comprising 30% of all workplace deaths.

Supported by IPAF, the federation’s CEO and managing director Peter Douglas, said, “As CEO of IPAF and a trustee of the No Falls Foundation, I am personally invested in the success of No Falls Week. I believe that by educating, raising awareness, and collaborating, we can make significant strides in enhancing safety for everyone who works at height.”

Sign up for No Falls Week by visiting the web page nofallsweek.org. “I encourage all of you, as individuals and representatives of your companies, to actively participate in this initiative. Together, let us create safer working environments and contribute to the prevention of falls from height,” Douglas added.
