Kennards Hire expands in South Highlands in Australia

Kennards Hire has expanded its businesses in Moss Vale in the South Highlands of New South Wales by acquiring MV Hire, which was founded in 2000.

Kennards Hire said the new branch marks its 63rd location in Australia, and the acquisition underscores its commitment to delivering exceptional service and building strong community partnerships throughout the region.

“This acquisition enhances our ability to support customers in the area, providing a broader range of equipment options and ensuring a seamless service experience,” said Nathan Powers, NSW Area Manager at Kennards Hire.

Powers said by incorporating the local expertise of the Moss Vale team and a second location in the Southern Highlands, Kennards Hire can strengthen its connection with the community.

He added that the acquisition also paves the way for growth, including plans to expand the branch’s fleet with scaffolding, test and measure equipment, essential concrete grinding products, and an extended core product line that will never run out.

James Hillsdon, the newly appointed branch manager at Moss Vale and former assistant manager at Kennards Hire’s Mittagong branch, said all MV Hire employees will be retained to ensure that customers enjoy the same friendly, reliable service they know and trust.

“Having experienced people on board helps us maintain the local knowledge that has been key to the branch’s success, maintaining stability and expertise within the team and the community,” he said.

Kennards, which celebrated its 75th anniversary last year, also recently announced a partnership with Hilti to drive sustainability and innovation in the construction and hire sectors.
