Palazzani celebrates 90 years

Palazzani Industrie has marked its 90th anniversary with a celebratory event. 

The evening event at the Tabaccaia in Castrezzato - a former early-20th Century tobacco factory transformed into an elegant event venue, paid tribute to the company’s long history and the people who built its success over three generations.

Apart from retracing the key milestones of the company’s journey, the event was also an opportunity to share the company’s vision for the future.

One of the most impactful moments of the evening was a video that retraced, decade by decade, the milestones of Palazzani Industrie from the founding of Falegnameria Palazzani by Davide Palazzani and his brothers, to its transformation into Palazzani F.lli in 1935 with the involvement of Renato, Alfredo, and Luigi, and then the formation of Officine Fratelli Palazzani – Officina Meccanica (OFP).

During the Second World War, the company began producing steel components for Breda anti-aircraft machine guns, quickly evolving in the following years thanks to international collaborations, such as with Ford, and the development of new machines including hydraulic loaders, agricultural shovels, backhoe loaders, and truck-mounted cranes.

Turning point 

In 1962 came an historic milestone: the Storm 61 - the world’s first wheeled loader with four equal-sized drive wheels. More achievements followed including the birth of the Paload brand, the production of the first truck-mounted aerial platforms in 1983, and in 1990, the invention of the world’s first tracked spider aerial platform: the TSP 28, followed by the TSP 22/24 models, which opened a new chapter in the sector’s history.

In the 2000s, the company strengthened its position by launching increasingly advanced models, including the first fully Eco aerial platform, presented at Bauma 2010. Recently the recent opened Palazzani North America, and saw Paola Palazzani take over from her father as President and Francesco Zola becoming CEO. This was followed by the launch of the new Ragno TZJ 160 and TZJ 180 platforms, unveiled at Bauma 2025.

At the event Paola Palazzani expressed her gratitude to all those who contributed to the company’s growth: employees, customers, partners, and suppliers.

“This anniversary is not just a number; it’s a chapter in a story made of sacrifice, innovation, and above all, extraordinary people,” she said.

“Our history is a testament to resilience, teamwork, and adaptability. But it also reflects a clear and bold vision — that of always striving for excellence. Now, with hearts full of gratitude, we look to the future. Ninety years are just the beginning of a new chapter we want to write together, with the same determination, passion, and trust that have brought us this far.”

Palazzani also paid tribute to her father, Davide Palazzani, who led the company for over 40 years with determination and vision, leaving an indelible mark.

During the evening, Matteo Meroni, Vice President of Confindustria Brescia, presented Paola Palazzani with a commemorative plaque to mark the milestone, as did Marzia Giusto, representing the Assodimi-Assonolo association.

Welcoming guests at the entrance of the venue were two of the latest highlights of the Palazzani range: the new Ragno TZJ 160 and TZJ 180 platforms. They are designed to be compact, lightweight and equipped with dual articulated telescopic boom and jib,  to meet the needs of a market increasingly focused on sustainability, maneuverability, and ease of use.
