Held on 18–20 September at the Istanbul Tuzla Autodrom, the exhibition was hosted by Turkey’s assocation for the aerial platfor sector Platformder and organized by Hybrid İletişim brought together more than 35 companies across an exhibition space exceeding 3,500 square metres.

The event offered participants and visitors a unique experience of the Turkish MEWP sector offering panels, seminars, and live demo areas, as well as the exhibition itself.

In the opening ceremony, Platformder Chairman Saruhan Günaydın expressed his pride in seeing the exhibition grow to become an annual event. He emphasized that Platform Days is not just an exhibition but the heartbeat of the sector. Highlighting the critical importance of working safely at height and preventing occupational accidents, Günaydın stated their goal is to raise awareness and showcase best practices.

Drawing attention to the decline in workplace accidents, he noted that with the increasing use of platforms, the rate of fatal accidents in the country decreased from 37.5% in 2020 to 32.2% at the end of 2023. These figures, he underlined, reflect not only the growing number of machines but also the rising safety consciousness across the sector.

Günaydın said, “Where we stand today is the result of a long and challenging journey since our early community gatherings. Despite all the obstacles and difficulties, we have never lost our commitment to this event or our belief in the sector. Platformder will continue turning dreams into reality and taking our industry to new heights. True success lies especially in the things that once seemed impossible or hard to accept.”

Platform Days 2025 also highlighted the sector’s international strength with the presence of international visitors from a range of countries. The Turkish MEWP sector has grown by approximately 90% over the past five years, increasing the number of active machines from 18,500 in 2020 to 35,000 at the end of 2024. “This growth not only strengthens local production but also boosts international companies’ interest in the Turkish market,” said the event’s organisers.

One of the highlights of the event was the first-ever Sector Success Awards 2024 ceremony, launched by Platformder, which encourages best practice and innovation in the sector.
