Point of Rental partners with Matrix iQ
13 July 2026
Point of Rental Software has announced a new partnership with Matrix iQ, giving Syrinx 365 customers access to telematics, asset tracking, and theft recovery solutions across the UK.
As demand for telematics and asset tracking continues to grow across the rental industry, Point of Rental is helping Syrinx 365 customers connect with a provider that understands the unique needs of hire businesses.
The partnership aims to simplify the process of evaluating, implementing, and supporting telematics solutions, allowing customers to focus on improving visibility, security, and operational efficiency.
It also gives Syrinx 365 customers an optional path to adopt fleet and asset intelligence solutions tailored to the rental industry.
By bringing together telematics, tracking, and security solutions through a tailored implementation process, customers can gain greater visibility into equipment, improve asset protection, and make more informed operational decisions.
Driving asset visibility
“Our customers have told us they want better visibility into the assets that drive their business,” said Wayne Harris, CEO of Point of Rental Software. “Rather than asking them to piece together multiple solutions on their own, we’re making it easier to connect with proven telematics and asset intelligence providers through the Syrinx 365 ecosystem. The result is better operational insight, stronger asset protection, and a simpler path to adoption.”
Point of Rental partnered with Matrix iQ because of its experience delivering intelligence solutions for both powered and non-powered assets, as well as its strong focus on the hire industry. The partnership gives Syrinx 365 customers access to a broad range of technologies, including vehicle telematics, AI-powered dash cameras, asset tracking, remote immobilisation, machine access control, and theft recovery services.
Through the partnership, Syrinx 365 customers can also access Matrix iQ’s Tag iQ, which is designed to track smaller and non-powered assets that may not be suited to traditional telematics.
Customers also benefit from Matrix iQ’s 24/7 theft recovery service, which targets a response time of 60 minutes across the U.K.
“Hire businesses make better decisions when they have accurate, real-time information about their fleet and equipment,” said Ben Audley, CEO of Matrix iQ. “Working with Point of Rental means Syrinx 365 customers get a clear path to the technology and insights they need. We’re proud to be the partner of choice for this, and we’re committed to making the experience as smooth as possible for every customer.”
