Renta confirms Danish acquisition

Finland’s Renta Group is to acquire Nordjysk Lift ApS, the Danish general rental company which has 11 depots in the country, including two close to Copenhagen.

The deal will expand Renta’s depot network in Denmark from 16 to 27 and add more than 100 employees. Nordjysk Lift was founded in 1998 and is based in Hjørring, in the far north of the country.

Renta said the deal will make it a “truly nationwide” rental provider, strengthening its operations in Northern Jutland and also adding temporary accommodation to its product range.

“Over the years, the company has built a strong position in its region, supported by high operational standards and close customer relationships. The acquisition is a great strategic fit for Renta and expands our presence in the Danish market.

“We look forward to working together with the Nordjysk Lift team and building on the strong foundation already in place.“

The acquisition is subject to approval by the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority.

Founded in 2015, Renta Group operates in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Poland, and the Baltics, with 191 depots and more than 2,300 employees.

Nordjysk Lift’s depots are in Hjørring, Frederikshavn, Aalborg, Randers, Thisted, Århus, Odense, Hvidovre, Grenaa, Vejle and Hillerød.
