RSC buys aerial rental specialist, American Equipment.

US rental company, RSC Holdings, has entered into an agreement to buy aerial platform rental specialist, American Equipment Rentals, from FST Equipment Rentals LLC and AER Holding LLC for an undisclosed sum.

American Equipment Rentals has facilities in Maryland, Connecticut and Puerto Rica with annual revenues of around $19 million, 90% of which are from rental activities.

RSC Holdings provides a range of equipment to the construction, petro/chemical, manufacturing and government sectors in the USA including aerial platforms from Genie, JLG and Skyjack. American Equipment's fleet will add more Genie, JLG and, Skyjack machines along with UpRight and Snorkel aerial platforms, Lull and Gradall telehandlers and some rough terrain and industrial forklifts.
