Sinoboom platforms meet new AS1418 standard

Mitchell Ely, the managing director of Platform Solutions Pty Ltd and his fellow engineer Anant Releka carry out compliance tests on Sinoboom equipment for Plant Design registration AS1418.

Chinese access platform manufacturer Sinoboom has successfully resubmitted six of its products to the updated Plant Design registration standard AS1418 required in Australia.

At the beginning of August Mitchell Ely, the managing director of Platform Solutions Pty Ltd and his fellow engineer Anant Relekar visited the Sinoboom factory to test the GTJZ06, GTJZ08 and GTJZ10 scissor lifts, and the GTZZ15, GTBZ22, and GTBZ32 self propelled booms new requirements of the standard include fall arrest overturning test, static test, dynamic kerb depression test, braking test, and overload test.

All testing jobs were performed successfully and the whole testing schedule was finished smoothly said Sinoboom. Mr Ely expressed himself quite impressed with Sinoboom MEWPs, and he said he was quite happy to witness all the testing results proving the machines safety, stableness and the compliance to the standard.

Managing director of Sinoboom Mr Liu GuoLiang said, "Safety and reliability are our constant target, we are always eager to follow the field standards, which allows us to prove ourselves we are also always looking to create and develop better access solutions, which bring more benefits and reliability to our customers." Mr. Liu GuoLiang has experience working in heavy industry for the past 18 years and started Sinoboom based on his engineering experience in diversified heavy equipment, especially in cranes.

Sinoboom is progressively renewing the registration of its other models.
