Small truck mount for quick jobs

Italy's Multitel Pagliero has added a 13 m working height 3.5 t GVW model to its range of truck mounted platforms. The MX130 operates without outriggers, making it ideal for quick, one-man operation for maintaining street lights and similar tasks, and an alternative to a van mounted platform.

Mounted on a Nissan Cabstar, the MX130 is now the smallest truck mount in Pagliero's range. "There's been a lot of demand for a small machine that could work without outriggers for changing lights etc. This is the answer", said Jerry Kist, Pagliero's international sales manager, "We think it will be popular in every European market." Deliveries of the 13 m unit will start early in 2009.

Maximum outreach on the platform is 6.5 m, cage capacity is 120 kg and its stowed dimensions are 5.8 m (L) by 2.37 m (H) and it is approximately 2 m wide.

Meanwhile, the company also showed a slightly different version of the 27 m MX270 model first seen at last year's SAIE exhibition. At APEX the model was mounted on a Mitsubishi 7.5 t GVW truck rather than the 5.6 t Nissan used last year. Mr Kist said the Mitsubishi would be more appropriate for the Northern European market.
