Stephenson’s Rental Services acquires Ontario rental business

Stephenson’s Rental Services has announced the acquisition of Riverside Rentals in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The deal marks another step in Stephenson’s expansion strategy, strengthening its ability to support a growing customer base across Southwestern Ontario while welcoming Riverside’s experienced rental team into the Stephenson’s network, according to the company.

Built on more than 70 years, Stephenson’s has continued to grow by investing in local communities and expanding its national footprint. Over the past several years, the company has broadened its reach beyond its Ontario roots through targeted growth initiatives, including a strategic investment in Quebec rental business Centre de Location G.M. (Location G.M.) in 2022.

The new Windsor location further enhances Stephenson’s ability to serve general contractors and trades with the equipment, service and on-the-ground expertise they rely on to “Get The Job Done Right,” while extending the brand’s regional presence into the Windsor-Essex market.

Wilson was appointed president and CEO in October 2024, succeeding long-time leader Guy Manuel, as Stephenson’s continued to scale its operations and expand service coverage across Canada.

The Windsor branch will operate fully under the Stephenson’s Rental Services brand, giving customers access to Stephenson’s network of resources and expertise while maintaining the relationship-based service Riverside has built over decades in the market.
