Tadano changes European leadership

Tadano in Europe has made changes to its senior management.

The leadership changes apply to Tadano operations in Germany, namely Tadano Demag GmbH in Zweibrücken and Tadano Faun GmbH in Lauf. From 1 October Noriaki Yashiro takes the position of president and chief executive officer at the two plants, giving him full responsibility for Tadano’s European operations. He replaces Ken Sawada who returns to Japan to lead the Global Business Promotion Division.

Another change will give more responsibility to Dean Barley, president and CEO at Tadano America Corp., Manitex International and Tadano Mantis Corp. From 1 October he will also oversee sales, customer support, marketing and quality control at Tadano in Europe.

From Tadano Ltd in Japan Hiroyuki Goda, chief technology officer, will also head research and development for mobile crane engineering in Europe. This will ensure innovation remains anchored in the German sites, Tadano said.

With direct responsibility for Tadano operations in the Zweibrücken and Lauf plants, Stefan Matthaei will oversee production, logistics and purchasing.

German investment

Tadano said it made the changes to ensure stability and operational growth.

The Manitex PM, Oil & Steel and Valla operations in Italy recently acquired by Tadano are unaffected and will retain their existing management structure.

Commenting on the appintments Toshiaki Ujiie, Tadano president and CEO, said, “These additions bring the right experience to drive growth in Europe. We are making significant investments in both our locations in Germany to support our customers. Customer needs are at the heart of these leadership additions, and their goal is to strengthen confidence of our European customers in Tadano.”

Previously, Alongside these personnel changes Tadano said it is making multimillion-euro investments in its German facilities to make it more competitive and secure long-term growth. In Zweibrücken the company acquired more land, built a new repair workshop, upgraded production and improved logistics flow. At the Lauf plant a European spare parts centre is being built, scheduled to open in mid-2026. In addition to expanding production and storage capacity, it will add boom assembly lines.
