Video interview: Skyjack’s take on the micro scissor lift market

Premium Content

Skyjack’s Corey Connolly discussing the micro scissor lift sector with ALH’s Riley Simpson

Micro scissors lifts, units that have less than 19 feet of platform height, are a booming sector in the equipment and equipment rental spaces, and they’re becoming more prominent within fleets and on jobsites as the construction industry shifts from the use of ladders and scaffolding toward safer work-at-height means.

Corey Connolly, senior product manager at Skyjack, talks with Riley Simpson, assistant editor of Access, Lift & Handlers, about Skyjack’s contribution to this burgeoning corner of the industry, the SJ3013 micro scissor lift, and the growing micro trend in general.

“I would say the big trend in the micro scissor sector was the development of its own segment,” Connolly said. “Separated from the larger electric scissors, it’s no longer seen as a niche subgroup of those machines. The micro lift has developed into a distinct segment in the rental industry.”
